South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. today is conducting food safety controls in five markets in South Jakarta.
It is done to ensure that the food consumed by the people is safe from harmful substances.
KPKP Dept. Opens Cheap Market for Two DaysSouth Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. Head, Wachyuni stated it is done by involving Health Sub-dept., KUKMP Sub-dept., Satpol PP, BPOM and police.
"It aims to realize a safe and free food from harmful substances such as formalin, borax, rodhamin and others," he expressed, Wednesday (6/6). There are food items examined include agricultural, livestock and fishery products.
This year, it will be intensified in 29 points, with details 22 spots of traditional markets, 6 modern markets and coaching locations (lokbin).
"Within one month, examination against market will executed five times. If it is free of harmful substances, the market will get a certificate," he stated.
